Accessibility Transport
Transport that brings our community together.
At Waka Eastern Bay, we believe everyone deserves to stay connected — to people, places and the things that matter. We provide accessible, safe and affordable transport for those who need support getting around, especially in areas without public transport.
As a community-owned charitable trust, powered by dedicated volunteers and mostly supported by grants and donations, we’re proud to offer a service built on empathy, dignity, and genuine care.
Our team is made up of wonderful both volunteer drivers and part-time staff. Together, they provide reliable, friendly and dependable transport you can trust.
To use our service, passengers need to register with us first — just click the green “Register as a Passenger” button above.
To help us plan your trip and make sure a vehicle and driver are available, please book your transport at least 24 hours in advance.
Total Mobility Card Holders
We are an accredited Total Mobility transport provider. Our fleet includes four vehicles, including an accessible van with a wheelchair hoist. All drivers are trained in safe loading and unloading of wheelchairs.
Please note: Electric wheelchairs must be operated by the passenger or their caregiver.

Drivers Who Genuinely Care
Our drivers are the heart of our service. Many are volunteers who generously give their time, supported by part-time staff who help keep the service running smoothly. All drivers are assessed by an accredited independent assessor and trained to provide safe, respectful and supportive transport.
They’re dedicated, friendly, and committed to getting you where you need to go safely — always with a smile.
Special thanks to our Supporters!
